Mr. Crutchfield

I began my teaching career in 1996 with the DeSoto School District.  Over the years, I've served students and families in a variety of roles as both a classroom and special education teacher at the elementary and middle school levels. In 2013, I joined the Horizon Elementary staff as a School Improvement Specialist and was named Building Principal beginning in 2015.  I have two daughters who are also teachers at USD 232.  I live in Shawnee with my wife, Marci, who teaches kindergarten at Turner USD 202.  I love being outdoors and enjoy trail running, mountain biking, cycling, and disc golf.  I am honored to be a part of the Horizon School Community and look forward to partnering with you to provide a great educational experience for your child!
